Steve McCurry

 I very much enjoyed looking through Steve McCurry's collection of images, while there was a lot it was a little difficult to decide which images I liked the most. All of his images are so eye-catching and the content is always very beautiful. I noticed in many of his images he includes children and people as well as he uses the rule of thirds and traditional composition techniques often. 

 In this image specifically I enjoy the textures and the colors. The expression on the little boys face is also so amazing. You can see pure innocence in his face. I really enjoyed browsing through his website and seeing that he had many children portraits, all from different countries. It was fun to compare the different cultural differences and similarities. This image is very visually satisfying and I believe that to be because of how centered and framed the little boy is in this image. The boldness of the colors and textures combined with the beauty of the portrait itself is what drew me to this image.

The contrast between the darks and lights in this image is why I choose this picture. I think it is perfectly lit while still keeping that dimension. I like that this image is partially silhouette and partially not. In some places you can see the details, and some places you can't. It draws you in. I enjoy the glow that this photo has. This image is simply beautiful.
